Wow, I haven't posted in my blog for a year. I guess I am just someone who is not good at keeping a consistent blog. I'm actually coming back here to use it as a place to record my daily food intake. I really need to lose weight, but I just don't want to do the tedious food logging at places like "My Fitness Pal" or "Weight Watchers". I'm just going to try recording what I eat. I'm not going weigh anything, but will just try to eat sensibly, mindfully, etc. My weight today - 233. (see, I very much need to drop some weight)
For exercise, I'm going to get back to walking. Since spring is here (tho it doesn't feel like it today) I'm going to make a goal of walking at least 4 times a week. I have a set of nice exercise bands and plan to use those at home. Chris and I did rejoin the local gym, but I knew that was a mistake. I just am never motivated to go there. I'm more inclined to head out to walk outside.
So, for today so far:
Breakfast - Oatmeal, two packs of sugar and a little milk, a scrambled egg.
Lunch - Mixed green salad with some chopped turkey, black olives and Newman's Oil and Vinegar dressing
Snacks so far - banana, couple pieces of Barkthins chocolate.
Another snack: - oatmeal banana bar. I found a recipe for baked oatmeal banana bars. I'm trying to find something we can take on the school bus in the early morning and the oatmeal bars may work. They turned out really good..going to try the recipe for a peanut butter oatmeal bar next. They also make for a good snack.
Dinner - ground chicken burger, a sweet potato with a bit of butter. Should have had some greens, but didn't.
Evening snack - English muffin with butter and jelly. Small glass of milk.
All in all I feel I did pretty well today. Hopefully I can get a walk in tomorrow if it doesn't rain all day.
