Life plods along and this week we are back into a regular routine. Last week was the "big blizzard" here in the midwest and for a few days things did come to a stop. But, that is kind of nice in it's own way. Chris was scheduled to be off work on Tuesday anyway so with the snow, we stayed home (well, mostly...Chris went to help my mom and did get stuck, but got un-stuck and came home)
I have been thinking ahead to how things will be once he does become a minister and he is assigned to a church. Wherever that may be. I do have a fear of having to move. Not sure why, I think it's leaving my friends at my own church that concerns me. Plus, just moving all the "stuff" I've accumulated in the house.
But, I think ahead to what it will be like being pastor's wife. Last Sunday we began a new group of Sunday School classes. We call it Merge classes and I chose to take the one led by our minister's wife. As I sat there in the class I began to wonder...will I be able to lead a class as she does? Will I be able to be as good a minister's wife as she is? I'm sure a lot of it is a "learn as you go" kind of thing. But, when you have the status of minister's wife people do tend to look up to you. They look to you when they need some advice or someone to listen. Can I fit into that role? I sometimes wonder if I should rename this blog..."My evolution into a preacher's wife." It brings to mind a Bible verse that I am familiar with:
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.: Philippians 4:13
